A-PET-CARE One Step At-Home Distemper + Parvo dog test can be performed at home and does NOT require any additional equipment.
The 2-way panel test cassette has two strips, one for Distemper and another for Parvovirus testing. See below the sample requirements.
This at-home CDV+CPV test is very easy to use.

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR DISTEMPER TESTING:
The Canine Distemper test works with dog’s secretions sample (ocular, nasal, pharyngeal, or anus), as well as serum or plasma sample.
You can use the test either with the secretions sample or with a serum / plasma sample.
To use the test kit with a secretions sample, no additional equipment is required, everything is included.
If you decide to run the test with a serum / plasma sample instead, a syringe and centrifuge will be required.

WHAT IS NEEDED FOR PARVO TESTING:
The Canine Parvovirus testing strip uses dog’s feces (stool) or vomit sample. A sample collection swab stick is included.

 

HOW TO TEST YOUR DOG FOR PARVO AND DISTEMPER AT HOME:
Checking your dog at home for Distemper and Parvo is very simple. Just collect fresh sample of your dog with the included swab stick. Please note, each test strip (CPV and CDV) works with different types of samples (see above)! Then follow the included instructions. From the moment you obtain the sample, the test takes about 15-25 minutes to complete. All the necessary equipment is included. After you perform the test, the results are available at place in 10 min. This is an ‘at-home’ test, no need to send it out to the lab. HOW DOES A PET CARE ONE STEP PARVO + DISTEMPER PANEL TEST KIT WORK:
A-PET-CARE Canine Distemper + Parvo Test Kit for dogs (CDV / CPV Ag) is a 2-in-1 combo test based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test device has two testing windows. Each testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and C (control) zone. When sample is applied into each of the sample holes of the device, the liquid will laterally flow along the surface of the test strip. If there is enough CDV or CPV antigen in the sample, a visible T line will appear in the corresponding testing window. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result. This means that the testing device accurately indicates the presence of Parvo or Distemper virus antigen in the sample.

Results are ready in 5-10 minutes.
