The Lyme disease test kit an be used with or without a centrifuge. If you are using whole blood as a sample you will only need a syringe. If you are planning to use serum or plasma, you will need a syringe and a centrifuge.

Checking your dog at home for Lyme disease is very simple. First, collect your pet’s blood sample (syringes are NOT included in the test). Then you can either centrifuge the collected blood to separate serum from plasma, or use the whole blood as a testing sample. After you have obtained the sample, just follow the included instructions. From the moment you obtain the sample, the test takes about 10-20 minutes to complete. If you are planning to use serum or plasma, you will need a centrifuge. After you perform the test, the results are available at place in 10 min. HOW DOES A-PET-CARE LYME DISEASE RAPID TEST FOR DOGS WORK:
A-PET-CARE One Step Canine Lyme Disease test for dogs is an Antibody Rapid Test based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test device has a testing window. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and C (control) zone. When sample is applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow on the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated Borrelia burgdorferi recombinant antigens. If there are Borrelia burgdorferi antibodies in the specimen, a visible T line will appear. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result. This means, the testing cassette accurately indicates the presence or absence of Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme disease) antibodies in the specimen.

Results are ready in 5-10 minutes.
