This dog Ehrlichia test works with blood and requires dog’s serum, plasma or whole blood sample.
The canine Ehrlichia test kit for dogs can be used with or without a centrifuge.
A-PET-CARE rapid home Ehrlichia test kit DOES NOT INCLUDE any blood collection equipment (syringes).
If you are using whole blood as a sample you will only need a syringe. If you are planning to use serum or plasma, you will need a syringe and a centrifuge.
HOW TO TEST YOUR DOG FOR EHRLICHIA AT HOME:
Checking your dog at home for Canine Ehrlichia is very simple. Just collect your dog’s blood sample, then follow the included instructions. From the moment you obtain the sample, the Ehrlichia test takes about 10-20 minutes to complete. Don’t forget to purchase a syringe before running the test, syringes are NOT INCLUDED in the test kit. If you are planning to use serum or plasma, you will need a syringe and a centrifuge. After you perform the test, the results are available at place in 10 min. This is an ‘at-home’ test, no need to send it out to the lab.
HOW DOES A-PET-CARE EHRLICHIA RAPID TEST FOR DOGS WORK:
A-PET-CARE Ehrlichia Antibody Rapid Test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test cassette has a testing window with an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone. When the treated sample is applied into the sample (S) hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip. If there are Ehrlichia antibodies in the specimen, a visible T line will appear. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, which indicates a valid result. This means, the device can accurately indicate the presence or absence of E.Canis antibodies in the specimen.
Results are ready in 5-10 minutes.
