WHAT IS CRYPTOSPORIDIUM IN DOGS:
Cryptosporidium is a particularly nasty type of Coccidia parasite. Sometimes called Crypto, it is a protozoan that causes the watery diarrheal disease cryptosporidiosis. Dogs infected with Cryptosporidiosis demonstrate a reduced capacity to absorb nutrients and can die from dehydration.

From the moment you obtain the sample, the test takes about 10-20 minutes to complete. All the necessary equipment is included. After you perform the test, the results are available at place in 10 min. This is a complete ‘at-home’ test, no need to send it out to the lab.

Our Cryptosporidium tests for dogs are based on lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Cryptosporidium parvum antigen (Crypto Ag) in animal’s feces or vomit specimen.
A-PET-CARE Cryptosporidium test for dogs is an antigen test and is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test device has a testing window. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and C (control) zone. When sample is applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow on the surface of the test strip. If there is enough Cryptosporidium parvum antigen in the sample, a visible T band will appear. The C band should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result. Meaning, the testing device can accurately indicate the presence of Cryptosporidium parvum antigen in the sample.
Results are ready in 5-10 minutes.
