A-PET-CARE Toxoplasma Gondii parasite test can be performed at home and does NOT necessarily require any additional equipment.
This test works with cat’s or dog’s stool (feces) sample and includes a sample collection swab stick. Testing with feces sample does NOT require any additional equipment.
The test can also be used with pet’s serum sample instead (this will require a centrifuge).

A-PET-CARE Toxoplasma test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. There is a testing window on the test device which contains invisible T (test) zone and C (control) zone. When sample is applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow on the surface of the test strip. If there is enough Toxoplasma gondii antigen in the sample, a visible T band will appear. The C band should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result. Meaning, the device can accurately indicate the presence of Toxoplasma gondii antigen in the sample.

Just collect the cat’s sample and mix it with the buffer liquid following the included instructions. Apply the mixture to the test cassette following the instructions.

The test results are ready in 5-10 minutes.
